Socio-Legal Research Initiative (Supported by the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan)

The School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, with the generous support of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan (LJCP) under its Research and Development Programme, has launched the Socio-Legal Research Initiative. Led by Mr. Arshad Nawaz Khan (Assistant Professor) as Principal Investigator, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Aziz ur Rehman (Director, School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad), this initiative seeks to promote a stronger research culture in Pakistan, with particular emphasis on socio-legal and empirical research in legal academia.

The initiative is designed to enhance the skills of young researchers, faculty and students, enabling them to critically explore the relationship between law and society. By encouraging evidence-based inquiry, it aims to contribute positively to the justice sector, enrich legal education and provide insights for more equitable and effective policy outcomes.
