On September 26 2024, the School of Law welcomed esteemed guest speaker Dr. Jo D Chitlik for an insightful discussion on the significance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Dr. Jo, a licensed attorney, registered mediator and Senior Fellow at Emory University’s Centre for Law and Religion, delivered an insightful discussion on the significance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Pakistan. Her remarkable background in law and diplomacy, including her tenure as Senior Investment Policy Specialist at the US Department of State, overseeing investment and trade matters across the Western Hemisphere and the Near East, lent invaluable authority to her presentation.
Dr. Jo shed light on Pakistan’s contextual realities and elucidated how ADR can enhance access to justice. The engaging session drew a sizable audience of students and faculty, sparking thought-provoking questions from the attendees. She graciously addressed queries, sharing her expertise and fostering a deeper understanding of ADR’s potential.
