The School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University, in collaboration with the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), QAU, and the Intellectual Property Organization (IPO) Pakistan, successfully organized a Workshop on Patent Drafting and Filing.
Professor Dr. Hafiz Aziz-ur-Rehman, Director, School of Law, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of intellectual property education in promoting innovation, research, and commercialization.

The workshop featured Mr. Ghulam Mujtaba Kamal, Deputy Director (Patents), and Ms. Humaira Shakeel, Deputy Director (Trademarks), IPO Pakistan, who delivered insightful sessions on Intellectual Property Rights, the role of IPO Pakistan, and the Patent Registration System in Pakistan.
The workshop aimed to equip researchers, faculty members, and students of Quaid-i-Azam University with the practical understanding required to prepare and file patent applications, thereby fostering a culture of innovation and strengthening research commercialization at the University.

The workshop reaffirmed the shared commitment of the School of Law, ORIC-QAU, and IPO Pakistan to promoting intellectual property awareness, innovation, and practical legal education through collaborative academic initiatives.
