Mr. Arshad Nawaz Khan, Assistant Professor, School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, has contributed as a Technical Expert in Legal Education Reforms to the development of the new scheme of study and curriculum framework for the Attorney-at-Law Programme of Sri Lanka Law College.
The reformed curriculum has now been officially approved and implemented, marking a significant milestone in the modernization of legal education in Sri Lanka. The reform introduces a contemporary, competency-based, and practice-oriented approach to strengthen professional legal training.

The revised curriculum, along with the Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Management System (SMS), was formally launched at a ceremony attended by the Honourable Chief Justice of Sri Lanka, the Secretary to the Ministry of Justice, senior members of the judiciary, representatives of the legal profession, and other distinguished stakeholders.

The initiative was undertaken under the Support to Justice Sector (JURE) Project, funded by the European Union in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Sri Lanka, and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF Sri Lanka.

This international contribution reflects the academic expertise of Quaid-i-Azam University faculty and the University’s commitment to advancing legal education and institutional development through global collaborations.
