Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan’s premier educational institution, takes a significant stride toward fostering intellectual property (IP) education, training, and research through a productive meeting between Dr. Hafiz Aziz ur Rehman, Director of the School of Law, and Mr. Farukh Amil, Chairman Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO). The meeting, held at the IPO Office, focused on enhancing IP awareness and establishing a culture of IP-centric innovation.
Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has recently received global recognition, achieving the prestigious ranking of 315th worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2024. As a testament to its commitment to excellence, the School of Law at QAU offers an Intellectual Property course to final year students, providing them with a solid foundation in this crucial field. Building upon this foundation, QAU plans to introduce a specialized certificate course in Intellectual Property law and Practice in the near future.
During the meeting, Mr. Farukh Amil emphasized the necessity of educating and guiding young students and researchers in matters of innovation and the utilization of the intellectual property system. Recognizing the significance of this collaboration, both QAU and IPO have agreed to continue their joint efforts in promoting a culture of IP-centric innovation.
